The waterproof device includes 32 gigabytes of storage, and up to 8 weeks of battery, and is available for pre-order at $279.99, and deliveries begin on October 30. “Everything about Kindle Colorsoft was meticulously designed to deliver rich, paper-like color,” states the company in the press release. “Its custom Colorsoft display includes a new light-guide with nitride LEDs that, when combined with our custom algorithms, enhances color and increases brightness, all without washing out details.” The new Kindle Paperwhite has 25% faster page turns compared to previous versions, higher contrast, a larger display screen of 7 inches, and around 4 months of battery life. Readers can choose from 16 to 32 GB, different colors—Jade, Raspberry, and Black—and charging alternatives, starting at $159.99.
